UPS has requested that pre alert notifications be sent to them in effort to help their receiving team prepare for inbound shipments.

 

A pre alert notification is an email to the UPS inbound receiving team  from the printer or supplier that details the following -

• Packing list with details such as GMM Code, Old GSK Code, Description and qty (by product)
• Transportation details such as a BOL or tracking number(s)
• ETA / Delivery Apt (if applicable) minimum of 24hrs in advance.
